A few photos of the girls

So I felt the need to post but I have nothing really to post about, at least nothing pressing on my mind. So here are a few of my favorite recent pictures of the girls.

We have had a rash of sock theavery in this house and I beleive we have a new culprit. I have a similar picture of Emy at about this age, however Emy is naked.

Why buy toys just supply a door stop.

Emy all ready for her first day of school with mom. She insisted on putting on her backpack even though it was empty and we were only going to the table.

Apparently I have a cheerleader. This shirt was for a doll of mine and no it isn't a big doll.

Elly's favorite place to be while I am loading the dishwasher. She often has to fight for a place with the dogs.

Emy wanted to play too.

Snuggling in the morning with Curious George

What are big sisters for. . .

She eats everything. I started feeding her lunch one day and after a few spoonfuls realized that she had a felt fruit in her mouth, so glad she didn't swallow that.
Well that concludes my pictures for today.
Hope you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and, if I don't post before, a very Happy New Year!

Emy and The Lion

We went to the Portland Zoo recently and had a very interesting experience with one of the lions in the new lion exhibit. For some reason the animals were bothered by Emy that day, I have shots of the mandarills pouncing at the glass while Emy was playing peek-a-boo with them, for another post. here is how it all began, simple enough:
Then a little more aggressive
and after this one I walked around the corner, my little mommy heart was racing with too many terror scenarios of breaking glass. It really doesn't seem thick enough.

Here is a video of the event, sorry you will have to crane your head to see it.

A little song for my girls. . .

That is Emy's baby
She's naked all the time
I say go put some clothes on your baby
And Emy runs and hides
That's okay because

I love you
I love you

I love my EmyJo

Let's go have some breakfast
How about some eggs and toast
I'd really like some coffee
Becuase what I like the most
Is having breakfast with you

I love you
I love you
I love my EmyJo

Elly is Emy's sister
She's a happy little girl
She loves to watch her big sister
Swirl and twirl around the world
Oh yes

I love you
I love you
I love my Little Jo's

Abstract Photography By EJB#1

For Emy's second birthday my mom sent money with instructions to purchase Emy a child's digital camera. So off to Target we went money in hand. After much deliberation we decided on the orange one. . . vtech kidizoom. . . Since that day Emy has become quite the photographer and I can only categorize her pictures as works of art mostly abstract art but art just the same. Here is a sample of her latest work.

"Speed Reading Go Dogs Go "

"A good time"
Amelia Bedelia and Abby

I do like all of the red in this picture

It took me awhile to figure out what I was doing here and then I remembered that I was wiping off the front door. I do like the sunlight in this picture.

"Sunset Tree"

"Cat eyes"

"Half of me"

"Grass"

"There's Elly"

These are some of the first pictures she took on the way home from the store.

I don't know how she got this coloring but it's great.

Her favorite subject. There must be at least 50 pictures of her feet.

Memorial Weekend with Nanna and Pappa

So we had a surpirse return of Nanna this last weekend and this time, to the delight of the children, she brought Pappa. Who is a wonderful photographer and took a few pictures of the kids.

She is reading a book.

A visit from Nanna

My mom came to visit a few weeks ago and here are a few fun shots from her time with us here.

Mom terrified that Emy is going to kick Elly in the head.

Emy would not leave this flower alone.

Here are the results of that.
And we are happy again.
My mom, sisters and our children.

On Saturday we went down to the Farmer's Market in Vancouver. We mostly played at Esther Short Park. They have a few water features that the children love to play in.

Ethan ended up stripped to his onesie and soaked through.

Emy didn't have a onesie so we just let her soak her dress instead. She loved it.

Back home this is where she likes to sit and "make soup" or throw rocks

Here we are visiting with G.G. and Grandpa Carlos at Jessica's house.

The kids (Dave included) had a great time in E.'s sandbox on the back deck.

We had a blast Mom come again soon and Emy requests that you bring Papa. :)
