Post-Thanksgiving Family Getaway.

After spending Thanksgiving with my family in Newport we decided to spend another night at the beach just us and the kids. We drove up the coast trying to decide where we should stay.
We ended up at an ideal little spot just off Ecola Creek at the end of Cannon Beach. I fell in love with this place and would gladly leave all of my belongings behind and live here.

It was perfect.

The view was AMAZING. The colors were constantly changing with the light. I want to fill my house with the early morning colors of the beach. They are so soft and subdued and peaceful, completely untouched by man. I can't tell you how many times I stopped at the large window and gasped with amazement at the colors.

Sorry for the crooked pictures, it was a quick snap and either post it now or never.

It was a tight fit to get the pack 'n play into the master but we managed.

On a warmer day this would have been a perfect spot for coffee.

They had just decorated downtown for Christmas. Belloise wanted her picture taken by the tree.

And in front of the window.

Our little nest.

He lost his balance while bending over and face planted in the sand.

She drew a princess in the sand.
