One Year

So hard to believe that this was a year ago today!!

Now he has eight teeth; can sign: more, eat, and milk clearly; he is able to walk but still prefers to crawl because it's faster at this point. He even says a few words, mom, dad, up, and good. And kisses on command, although they are open mouth kisses.

I had to force him to lay down so I could get a little perspective.

This sweet little boy has brought so much laughter, mischief, joy and blessing to our family. I'm thankful everyday that the Lord chose us to be his parents.

Afters

Finally, here are the before and afters of our bathroom.  I realize I didn't really get any good shots of the floor but it's hard to take a picture when you are smashing yourself against a wall so you won't be in the picture :).

So we stripped everything.

and moved out to my dad's for 10 days

because this is part of the mess while work was being done.

My Beloved has also been working on our front yard.

Right after I took this we bought a new front porch light but I'll save that for the pictures of the finished entry since we aren't quite there yet.

Nine Months

We have had a busy couple of months so I am a bit behind on these updates.

Funny thing happened, I missed his seven month pictures and when I went to take his eight month pictures well . . .

That's right I used the blocks for seven instead of eight.

Seriously mom!

Valentine's Day

 Monday I asked the girls what they wanted to do for Valentine's Day, they said they wanted a party. So we threw together a quick little party.

Pinterest and I came up with two easy-to-do-supplies-on-hand craft projects. We made bookmarks from glittery foam hearts and craft sticks and also created hand-print Valentine's which we painted with secret messages using white crayons and water paints.

 

I decided we needed an extreme sugar high. So I made cupcakes which I ended up frosting with melted chocolate because I ran out of time, energy and the will to create. I also dipped marshmallows and the girls covered them in sprinkles, and cut rice crispys into heart shapes with a cookie cutter. Conversation hearts were a must along with heart shaped straws for our Lemonade and Limeade.

Five Months

Hard to believe our rolling, spinning, raspberry lovin', silly, billy of a boy is five months old. He has brought so many blessings to our lives.

With his smiles, he has managed to wrap his big sister so tight around his little finger I'm surprised it's still attached. I'm wrapped pretty tight myself :).

Spitting, lots of spitting goes on at our house, these days.

Starting to look like a little man.

I finally got up the courage to give him his first haircut.

We broke out the jumpy horse.

He will NEVER be alone.

I love these days with my little family. Cherishing these times.
