Growing, Growing, Growing
My sweet little Bean is three months old today. By the time I was able to take his picture he was pretty tired but I took it anyway.

Camping Nehalem Bay, Beach Party, & An Anniversary
Not a lot of time for chatting but here are a few pictures from our first and last camping trip of the season.
So thankful for the van this camping trip. Served as our pantry and seating while the rain poured down until K&K arrived with their canopy.
Kids love the rain and apparently Ballerina still thinks it's summer. I can't get her to give up the shorts, so I stealthily stowed them after the last washing.
Getting in some guy time with J.
Beach party crew
And in came the waves. We missed the wave that caught everyone unawares. They had been sitting under the canopies.
I tried to tell him he is too young to drive, but he insisted on trying.
These two have been married for 60 years.
So blessed to have them as my grandparents
Busted holding hands.

Over the Past Month
We have been a little busy around here.
Morning of July 30th
Afternoon July 30th
So many answered prayers with this little man. No need for resuscitation, that was the biggest one.
Latest shot of the Vancouver chapter of the B. cousins.
Only 11 days apart.
The jury is still out on his eye color. Some days it's blue, some days it's brown. Still have a few months before it will be settled. Somewhere between 3 and 6 months is when the eye color is decided, at least that's what I hear.
First day of Kindergarten
Touchdown!
I love the idea of taking a similar picture each month for the first year. But I need some help figuring out which background to go with. I might just do all of them each month. I was too lazy to search out the blocks to spell out month so I just went with the number.
I think this one is going to be my favorite. You'll see why as he grows and once he can sit up and show you just what he is sitting in. :)
Just a little update on our lives lately.

Questioning Sparrow Morals
Just thought that I would share some random thoughts from a fabulous Saturday with the family.
1) I am slightly concerned about the moral values of the house sparrow taking up residence in our bird house. He came around house hunting with a little lady.
Today while the lady was out gathering goods for their nest I saw him fluffing feathers at a lady bird. Now it's possible that this was the same lady bird however if they have already found a house shouldn't they be past the feather fluffing stage in their relationship? Just sayin'.
2) I just looked at pinterest and now I want cream puffs.
3) I love picnics in the park. I wish I had a picture of the one we took today. An unfortunate incident involving a misunderstanding about the state of the security device of the door, resulted in my camera being left at home, along with my keys.
Aside from that we had a wonderful time at the park. The kids played, I laid in the shade. Then my Beloved took the kids on a treasure hike so I could continue lying in the shade reading a book.
4) On Friday, my girls new swimsuits came in the mail. They picked the same suit for this year.
The exclamations from Beloise were priceless, and included sayings such as:
"This is AWE-some!",
"OH, it's perfect!"
and
"I just LOVE it!
Beloise is particular about her swimsuits. I had a hand-me-down princess swimsuit for her, however after being spoiled with a Gymboree swimsuit last year she refused the most likely Target purchased princess suit.
To her credit the swimsuits at Gymboree are fuller in the bum and have a reinforced layer in that region. I probably wouldn't have noticed the differences if she hadn't complained. Plus they were on sale!
I hope that your Saturday was as thought provoking as mine.
